TYPE: white wine.
PRODUCTION AREA: company vineyards at Case Bianche in Susegana (TV).
SOIL: calcareous, clayey, relatively shallow.
EXPOSURE: south, south-west.
CLIMATE: temperate, with cold winters and hot but not muggy summers. Receives good ventilation due to its proximity to a ridge. average annual precipitation: 1.250 mm.
TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot.
PLANTING DENSITY: 3.500 vines per hectare.
YIELD: 10.000 Kg/hectare.
HARVEST: grapes are hand-picked in late September or early October.
VINIFICATION: pressing and destemming are followed by brief maceration on the skins. Subsequent steps are separation of the must and soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18° C for approximately 10-12 days. Afterwards, the new wine is aged on the fine lees for a few months, with pumping over and remixing, and then bottled the following spring.
COLOUR: straw yellow.
AROMA: characteristic, intense, fruity.
FLAVOUR: full, dry and elegant.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: delicate first courses and fish.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10-12°C
