Prosecco Superiore Brut “Vigna del Cuc” Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG
(Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin)

In the heart of the Treviso province, the “cuc” stands among the Case Bianche vineyards: a distinctive hill where unique vines, devoted to exclusive production, redesigned the profile of the rolling downs of this enchanting landscape, giving birth to the precious wine named after this remarkable rise.
As suggested by its name, Vigna del Cuc is born on the “cucuzzolo”, the summit looking towards the sky, on the lands at the top of the hill, decorated by rows of vines and sculpted by zealous labour to allow this wine to express the deep and unmistakable minerality of this territory.
Grown on a 4-and-a-half-hectare vineyard, where the grapes are only harvested by hand, each year this structured “cru” renews its balance between Glera and Chardonnay grapes, managing to express different nuances, which not only create a strong bond with the territory where it is produced, but also make this an incredibly dynamic and modern wine.

SENSORY PROFILE

At a first glance, Vigna del Cuc stands out thanks to its bright straw yellow, but also reveals all its “brut” personality with a fine, silky and persistent perlage, obtained through a long re-fermentation process. Its pleasant and fruity aroma offers refreshing hints of green apple. Its structured grapes make Vigna del Cuc finely sapid and fleshy: it is dry and harmonious to the palate, while its enjoyable foam leaves a long-lasting tinkling of bubbles. The low residual sugar allows a pleasant mineral note. Excellent as an aperitif, Vigna del Cuc is to be served at 8 °C. Given its good acidity level, it can be used to balance out cold cuts, cured meats and fatty dishes, but it can also accompany an entire meal with lighter and more delicate dishes.
