Vinitaly 2023 - Col Sandago

Col Sandago goes back to its roots with the makeover of Antico

A crossroads of trends for over 4,000 companies from 30 countries: from April 2 to 5, Vinitaly 2023, the international exhibition dedicated to the world of wine, returns to Veronafiere for its 55th edition, consolidating its position as an event capable of marking the growth and success of wine in Italy and abroad.

Col Sandago and Martin Orsyn, part of the universe of taste of the Hausbrandt Group, are once again presented side by side in their uniqueness. Two distinct souls that tell the stylistic signature of two internationally recognized territories: the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Montagne de Reims, the beating heart of the Champagne area, between Reims and Epernay.

Col Sandago is Martino Zanetti’s estate, located in the heart of the D.O.C.G. Of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore. At Vinitaly 2023, it decides to bring to the fore, among its different “nuances of perspective”, the new image of a wine that looks back to its origins without renouncing the vision of the future. A makeover of great value, perfect for the debut on the prestigious stage of the Verona event. From “col fondo” sparkling wine to “col fondo” spumante, here is ANTICO – Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG– Brut Nature re-fermented in the bottle. Obtained from Glera grapes, the distinctive character of Antico develops inside the bottle, where the wine re-ferments without any filtration or “dégorgement”, thus preserving the natural yeast deposit inside. Its straw yellow color is accompanied by a fine foam and the fresh and fruity notes that are typical of Prosecco, with “bread crust” nuances. Its fresh, velvety taste, dry and pleasantly bitter on the finish, with a good structure and delicately mineral, makes it excellent for the whole meal and in combination with fish dishes, as well as cold cuts and cured meats that are typical of the production area, such as Sopressa. The simplicity of its smooth transparent bottle is only apparent: the taupe label with golden details contributes to emphasize the ancestral nature and the materiality of this wine, precious because of its tradition and history.

The makeover of Antico complements and completes the most famous Col Sandago wines and the range of Prosecchi D.O.C.G., excellences that have won multiple awards in national and international competitions.  Uniqueness and charm are enclosed in Col Sandago’s two iconic red wines: on the one hand Wildbacher, a wine that is unique worldwide, with exceptional characteristics and a fascinating and captivating history, a dream from afar that has received new life from the lands of Col Sandago. On the other hand, Camoi, a red wine of great structure and value, obtained from 100% Merlot grapes.
